InSquared took place in Baltimore, Maryland
on March 24, 2012
at MICA Brown Center

InSquared: The Inclusive Innovation Unconference was a day-long gathering of diverse individuals exploring opportunities in tech entrepreneurship. The event inspired and equiped people of all backgrounds to join the innovation economy.

gb.tc worked closely with the Maryland Institute College of Art to create a truly inclusive event. We wanted to send the message that our innovation community is open to all.  We were gratified that the one hundred participants will included students (from city high schools and local universities), coders, designers, entrepreneurs, educatorsmentors, and investors.

The agenda was determined by the participants themselves in the uniquely powerful unconference format.

To set the tone and bring unique insights to this event, we brought two remarkable keynote speakers to Baltimore. Tara Hunt (@missrogue) is one of the most influential women in tech and the CEO and co-founder of e-commerce Q&A platform BuyosphereBaratunde Thurston (@baratunde) is Director of Digital for The Onion, the author of the new book How To Be Black, and the opening keynote speaker at the SXSW Interactive festival.
